In 2013, Jim Ott & Ian James met as agricultural consultants working for separate companies.  They recognized, the therapeutic & economic power that CBD promised. Ian with his business savvy, recognized that with Jim and his epic agricultural knowhow, they could create a business that was both beneficial to the human body & profitable.

Jim & Ian, along with Jeremy Raab founded CFH in 2014 and they created a genuinely vertically integrated company.  Proprietary hemp strains would be designed at a genetic level, then grown & harvested on their privately owned farm.  They would also oversee extraction, formulation…everything, all the way to packaging & shipping.  

In this way, complete control was maintained throughout every step of production.

During this time, Ian James was diagnosed with colon cancer.  It had advanced rapidly & taken everyone by surprise.  In October of 2017, Ian passed away.   

When the time came to create a hemp beverage, the decision was made to honor a lost friend. James & James was born!
